1967
The horticulture enterprise Block was established by Waltraud und Paul Friedrich Block
as a part of the“ Settlement building project “. The Block enterprises began with 1,2 hectars land, a house with garage and a (hothouse) greenhouse area of 800 square meters, as well as our own contributions.
1975
1,2 hectars could be acquired in addition, so that the (hothouse) greenhouse area could be extended to 8000 square meters.
1995
The working area could be extended to 4,5 hectars after acquiring the neighbouring enterprise. After many structual alterations we had 14000 square meters of modernised (hothouse) greenhouse area at our disposal.
1997
Son, Master gardener Harald Block, took over the horticultural buisness Block with the same success at leading the horticulture enterprise as a family buisness.
The specialization on exotic plant types specifies the strategy of the enterprise.
The exotic plants Aphelandra squarrose, Calathea crocata und Hydrangea macrophylla are sold in high numbers all over Germany and Europe.
2005
extended by 15000 square meters (hothouse) greenhouse area as well as 15000 square meters open land.
